Various metals used by the ancients according to Vaimanika Shastra(1953)

There's plenty of evidence which suggests that ancient extraterrestrial creatures who resided on planet Earth even before the start of our written history had the knowledge of advanced physics, math and chemistry. Highly advanced technology based artifacts are living proof of their time here. Read this article on Vaimanika Shastra(1953) which is a brief summary on a  technology that was used by those beings. It is based on the texts dictated thousands of years ago. Also read this article on mysterious technology of the ancients. From these articles you'll get a rough idea of the extent of technological advancement that these creatures had achieved. This article is based on the metals used by them. Knowledge of metals among ancients was not confined to just basic metals such as iron, copper etc. Their knowledge of each subject was so advanced that unlike us, there were almost 0 adverse effects of their knowledge on nature. To produce their space-crafts and other useful devices and instruments they used metals best suitable to their use. Just like us, these people had their own way of mining, purification and production of different types of metals but with a deeper understanding of them.

According to the ancient texts, There were 3 kinds of metals named somaka, soundaalika, and mourthwika. 'Maanibhadra Kaarika' (Dictas of Manibhadra)  Says, "Metals which are light, and are suitable for producing aeroplanes are 16 metals formed by mixing the root metals soma, soundaala and mourthwika, which are non-heat-conductors and useful for Vimanas." The book says, "The gravity of the centre of the earth, the gravity of global earth, the solar flood, the air force, the force emanating from the planets and stars, the sun's and moon's gravitational forces, and the gravitational force of the Universe, all together enter the layers of the earth in the proportion of 3, 8, 11, 5, 2, 6, 4, 9, and, aided by the heat and moisture therein, cause the origin of metals, of various varieties, grades and qualities. There are 3000 metal bearing layers within the earth. Of them 1300 layers contain the better quality. In the 7th layer metals are of 27 types. The 3rd type of metals (Souma class) are of five-fold qualities, and are known as root metals.

After the purification of these metals, they were used in casting of 'Ooshmapa loha' (heat-resistant metal). According to "Nirnayaadhikaara", the melting of the superior, medium, and inferior kinds of metals is to be done in 407 different kinds of crucibles. They are divided into 12 groups. The 12 kinds of metals are : Kritaka or artificial, Apabhramshaka or corrupted, Sthalaja or mud-born, Khanija or found in mines, Jalaja or aquatic, Dhaatuja or mineral-born, oshadhivargaja or vegetation-born, krimija or evolved from vermin, Maamsaja or flesh-born, Kshaaraja or grown from salts, Baalaja or hairborn, and andaja or resultant from eggs.

Kunda-kalpa or the art of furnace construction mentions 532 kinds of furnaces. They are divided into seven classes, each including 76 varieties. Furnace no. 9 in the 7th class, is best suited for melting the requisite metals of the vimana, and its name is 'koorma-vyaasatikaa' , or tortoise-shaped furnace.

Different kinds of metals were used for the vimanas in different atmospheric regions namely

Rekhaapattha(Gravitational influence region), Mandala(Star systems), Kakshya(interstellar space) Shakti(intergalactic space) and Kendra(Galactic centre) due to danger in these regions such as whirlpools of energy, winds, solar rays, cold-currents, collisions. In these 5 regions there were several airways traversed by the vimanas (spacecrafts) of the 7 lokas or worlds, known as  Bhooloka, Bhuvarloka, Suvarloka, Maholoka, Janoloka, Tapoloka and Satyaloka located at different distances in outer space. The metals most suitable for vimanas for a particular voyage were chosen according to the type of journeys through these different regions of atmosphere and space.

The lead alloy (Thamogarbha loha) used in making the body of the spacecraft would absorb light around it in a photochemical reaction that would make it disappear. On testing the Krishna seesa metal mentioned in the formula,  in the laboratory of Birla Institute of Science, Hyderabad , Mr. Prabhu found the metal absorbing 78 percent of laser light, which means that any other light could be easily absorbed, giving ample proof that there existed a technology to make things invisible. Also the use of an alloy of copper, zinc and lead called Aamlatrit made the spacecraft's body resist corrosion by 1000 times over that of the current levels. Using Ararakamra material for the axle and wheels had made it possible for taking 'U' turns and serpentine movements.

Ooshmahana is a heat dissipating metal.

Raja loha's special feature was that apart from resisting heat, it converted light from lightnings into energy.

Trinetra loha helped the Vimana to travel in space, land and water.

Bhaarahana metal was an impact force removal metal, as in it helped minimising the impact force at a particular point.

Similarly there were many other alloys that had specific properties for specific purposes like Veerahaa, Panchaghna, Agnitrit, Amlatrit, Sheetahana, Garalaghna, Aamlahana, Vishambhara, Vishalyakrit, Dwijamitra, Vaatamitra etc. Several Nebulae located out there in space are prime examples for the requirement of such metals with specific purposes as presence of various elements in both neutral and ionised forms could be harmful to space crafts and other instruments. These metals are also helpful in those cases. There were metals which helped the crafts to steer close to stars and harvest their energy directly without any Dyson structure, metals useful in extremely cold conditions and turbulent conditions, also the metals which helped them go close to the most dangerous places of the space like neutron stars and black holes etc. Overall, there's no doubt about the fact that the beings equipped with such technology resided on Earth in the past but left in search of other advancements. We called some of them Gods, some of them were demons. Some of them never resided here but came here from heavens (other worlds)  time to time with a specific purpose of blessing someone with something powerful or to accomplish something for the species here on Earth. What matters for us now is how to convince them to get those resources so that we can escape this extinction cycle. Those methods are also clearly mentioned in Vedic texts but it'll be relatively tough as the age we live in is the darkest of all four and impressing or convincing any God would take far more effort than any human can give in.
