The understanding of the universe by humans didn't happen in a shorts pan of time, humans were studying and understanding the universe from thousands of years ago across the world and few civilizations also recorded their understandings. But not all ancient scriptures were equal as while few of the scriptures are considered to be the understandings of ancient humans, while few scriptures are believed to be the knowledge shared by some advanced extraterrestrial species in ancient times, and it also a belief that they (extraterrestrials) also played a vital role in shaping ancient human civilizations, and were considered as gods in ancient times.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the ancient religious scriptures that describe the creation and evolution of the universe:
Book of Genesis:
Genesis is a Greek word that means "origins," "birth," or "beginnings." Is the first book of the Hebrew Bible, explaining how God created the whole universe and everything within;
Chapter: 1 creation
[1:1] At the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,
[1:2] the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.
[1:3] Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
[1:4] And God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.
[1:5] God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
[1:6] And God said, "Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
[1:7] So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so.
[1:8] God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
[1:9] And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.
[1:10] God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
[1:11] Then God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed in it." And it was so.
[1:12] The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good.
[1:14] And God said, "Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,
[1:15] and let them be lights in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth." And it was so.
[1:16] God made the two great lights - the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night - and the stars.
[1:17] God set them in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth,
[1:18] to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
[1:20] And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky."
[1:21] So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, of every kind, with which the waters swarm, and every winged bird of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
[1:22] God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
[1:24] And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures of every kind: cattle and creeping things and wild animals of the earth of every kind." And it was so.
[1:25] God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
[1:26] Then God said, "Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."
[1:27] So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
[1:28] God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."
[1:29] God said, "See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
[1:30] And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.
[1:31] God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
The Holy Quran:
The book which is considered to be the holiest of all books in the faith of Islam, and is believed to be revealed to the prophet Muhammad by God himself;
[21:30] Have the disbelievers not seen that the skies (space) and the earth (matter) were a joined entity, and then we ripped them apart?
[51:47] The heavens, we have built them with power. And verily, we are expanding it.
[21:33] And it is he who created the night and the day, the sun and the moon. They are all gliding along smoothly in their respective orbits.
[50:38] And verily, we created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six aeons, and no weariness (even) touched us.
[2:22] (it is he) who made for you the earth a resting place, and the heaven an edifice for protection and caused water to pour down from clouds. Then he brought forth therewith a great variety of fruit for your sustenance. Therefore do not set up compeers to Allah, while you are people of knowledge!
SUMERIAN TABLETS:
Most of the ancient Sumerian writings were scripted on clay tablets, in a kind of language that is to found nowhere on the planet. And the language is believed to be from a group of extraterrestrial gods descended from a planet called Nibiru.
When in the height heaven was not named,
And the earth beneath did not yet bear a name,
And the primeval Apsu, who begat them,
And chaos, Tiamut, the mother of them both
Their waters were mingled together,
And no field was formed; no marsh was to be seen;
When of the gods none had been called into being,
And none bore a name, and no destinies were ordained;
Then were created the gods in the midst of heaven,
Lahmu and Lahamu were called into being...
After heaven had been moved away from earth,
After earth had been separated from heaven,
After the name of man had been fixed;
MAHABHARATA:
In this world, when it was destitute of brightness and light, and
enveloped all around in total darkness, there came into being, as the
primal cause of creation, a mighty egg, the one inexhaustible seed of all
created beings. It is called Mahadivya, and was formed at the beginning
of the Yuga, in which we are told, was the true light Brahma,
the eternal one, the wonderful and inconceivable being present alike in all places ; the invisible and subtile cause, whose nature partaketh
of entity and non-entity. From this egg came out the lord Pitamaha
Brahma, the one only Prajapati ; with Suraguru and Sthanu. Then
appeared the twenty-one Prajapatis, viz., Manu, Vasishtha and Parameshthi
; ten Prachetas, Daksha, and the seven sons of Daksha. Then
appeared the man of inconceivable nature whom all the Rishis know
and so the Viswe-devas, the Adityas, the Vasus, and the twin Aswins ;
the Yakshas, the Sadhyas, the Pisachas, the Guhyakas, and the Pitris.
After these were produced the wise and most holy Brahmarshis, and the
numerous Eajarshis distinguished by every noble quality. So the water,
the heavens, the earth, the air, the sky, the points of the heavens,
the years, the seasons, the months, the fortnights, called Pakshas, with
day and night in due succession. And thus were produced all things
which are known to mankind.
